Over time, people came to appreciate this smoky flavor and started smoking garlic for culinary reasons. When used in a dish, smoked garlic gives a spicy, savory, slightly meaty taste and has a flavor-enhancing effect. Ideal for soups, sauces and vegetarian dishes.
